Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls in Concert (Southern Voices 2019)Wednesday, February 20, 2019@ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM(Currently Sold Out. Wait list available.)Hoover LibraryThursday, February 21, 2019@ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM(Currently Sold Out. Wait list available.)Hoover LibraryThirty years into one of the most storied careers in popular music, Emily Saliers decided to record her debut solo album. Best known as one half of the iconic folk duo, Indigo Girls, Saliers has been called one of the most insightfully fearless songwriters of all time. While Indigo Girls is still very much alive and well, Murmuration Nation is Saliers's first release under her own name. Recorded with an all-star band, including Juilliard-trained violinist Lyris Hung, the album explores the kind of rhythmically centered, globally-inspired music, along with the poetic lyricism that made Indigo Girls a household name and a fixture in American pop culture. Saliers has once again crafted an album that is classic and modern, timeless and daring. Tickets: $27.50
