SBA Extends COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan Application Deadline through Dec. 31, 2021

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that the deadline to apply for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program for the COVID-19 Pandemic disaster declaration is extended to Dec. 31, 2021.  The deadline extension comes as a result of the recent bipartisan COVID-19 relief bill passed by Congress and enacted by the President on Dec. 27, 2020.

Additional Data for Hoover Business Licenses

Your business will have received its annual business license renewal notice from the Hoover Department of Revenue. For those businesses with a physical presence in the city, we respectfully ask that you provide the additional information requested for public safety and economic development uses. This information will be used to better communicate with local business contacts for the aforementioned purposes and to better understand the City’s local businesses and economy.

Did you know you can renew your business license online? You will need your PIN number from the renewal notice you received in the mail. Then, visit http://businesslicenserenewal.hooveralabama.gov to renew. Can't locate your paper notice? Contact the Revenue Department at 205-444-7516 to request a new copy or PIN.

As more details emerge on the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, please remain in contact with your legal and/or financial advisors.  The Alabama Small Business Development Center serves area businesses and can provide further information on this topic.

Looking for Talent? High School Ready-To-Work Interview Day is January 26-28.

The Alabama Ready-To-Work Program is providing area employers the opportunity to conduct real interviews with students in 16 schools to serve entry-level talent acquisition needs. These students are completing soft skills and industry specific training. Interview Day will be held virtually on January 26 - 28 between 8:30am – 2:00 p.m.
