Amended Safer at Home Order Announced by Governor Ivey

Includes more flexibility for child care facilities & reopening of entertainment venues, schools, athletic programs, and summer camps. No changes were announced regarding hospitals, nursing homes, or senior center facilities. Please review order for full info.

We are so very appreciative to our citizens and businesses for cooperating with the Stay at Home guidelines that were set forth in April to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The City of Hoover will continue to follow guidelines and orders established by the State of Alabama, and we ask you to continue to be diligent in observing these measures. Today, May 21st, Governor Ivey announced an amendment to the phased reopening of Alabama’s economy. The amendment to Safer at Home goes into effect on May 22nd at 5:00 pm CST. This order is in effect until July 3, 2020.
